At Salt Lake Christian Center you will find us to be a multicultural, English-speaking, evangelical church ministering to all ages. Partnering together in prayer and fellowship with numerous language churches and their pastors, resourcing one another according to ministry needs.
Throughout the year we combine together for international worship celebration experiences including a combined youth camp and school of ministry. The result of this is a beautiful and vibrant connection between many languages and cultures with the intention of bringing Jesus to our communities.
What kind of church is this?
Salt Lake Christian Center is an Assemblies of God church, but we do not exist to promote a denomination, but to keep relationship with God at the center of everything we do. If you want to learn more about our beliefs as a church, you can find out much more under the “Core Beliefs” link here on our site.
What Are Your Services Like?
We pray our services have an atmosphere of glorifying God with powerful inspiring Bible-based messages and music that engages and facilitates corporate worship of God. We invite you to come as you are, casual or dressed up—it’s up to you! And if you’re a first time visitor enjoy a free drink on us at the coffee bar in the foyer—you’re welcome to take it with you into the auditorium.
Is Childcare Provided?
At Salt Lake Christian Center we love children. Qualified children’s workers are excited and happy to welcome children into KID CITY from newborn to sixth grade. There’s age appropriate ministry available for each child.
What Happens When I Visit?
First of all, we want you to feel welcome. When you visit SLCC, you will not be put on the spot in any way. Whether you are seeking a new church home, or simply desiring to know more about who Jesus is, you should feel like you are among family. We have a Connection Card you can fill out to get connected and we also have a gift for you if you are a first time visitor.
What Should I Wear?
Come as you are. God is clear in His Word that He does not look on the outward appearance but rather into the heart of a person. The dress and atmosphere at SLCC tends to be casual. Wear jeans. Wear a tie. It’s your decision. We want you to be comfortable.
How Do I Get Involved?
We believe God has given every person gifts and talents. Those abilities have been given for the purpose of serving others. There are many volunteer opportunities all around SLCC. Joining a volunteer team is a great way to meet people and contribute to the mission of this church family.
What Do You Believe About Baptism and Communion?
We encourage all followers of Jesus to experience baptism. Periodically, we offer a baptism class for people interested in being baptized during one of our services. We baptize by immersion because that is Jesus’ model of baptism. Baptism is not salvation, but is a symbol of the new life that Jesus brings about in the lives of His believers. We believe communion is also a symbol. It symbolizes the body of Jesus that was sacrificed and the blood of Jesus that was spilled for us. We observe this ordinance throughout the year during our weekend services. You do not need to be a member of SLCC to participate in our Communion Service.
