What Are Your Services Like?

Our weekend services are designed to be powerful and inspiring. Our music is upbeat and engaging. Our messages are Bible based, we talk about the real things you face every day and seek to connect God’s wisdom and Word to your life.

What Time Should I Get There?

We recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the service. This is especially important if you have children. Checking-in children to their age-appropriate environments takes a couple of extra minutes. Even if you don’t have kids, come a few minutes early and grab a cup of coffee from our coffee shop!

Is Childcare Provided?

Nursery is provided for birth-2 years | Sunday School is provided for 3 years | Kindergarten and Kid’City Children’s Church is provided for 1st grade-6th grade for our Sunday service. Each of our children workers have undergone background checks and have current clearances on file to make sure everyone has a fun and safe experience each week.

What Happens When I Visit?

First of all, we want you to feel welcome. When you visit SLCC, you will not be put on the spot in any way. Whether you are seeking a new church home, or simply desiring to know more about who Jesus is, you should feel like you are among family. We have a connection card you can fill out to get connected and we also have a gift for you if you are a first time visitor.

What Should I Wear?

Come as you are. God is clear in His Word that He does not look on the outward appearance but rather into the heart of a person. The dress and atmosphere at SLCC tends to be casual. Wear jeans. Wear a tie. It’s your decision. We want you to be comfortable.

What Kind of Church Is this?

Salt Lake Christian Center is an Assemblies of God church, but we do not exist to promote a denomination, but to keep relationship with God at the center of everything we do. If you want to learn more about our beliefs as a church, you can find out much more under the “Beliefs” link here on our site.

How Do I Get Involved?

We believe God has given every person gifts and talents. Those abilities have been given for the purpose of serving others. There are many volunteer opportunities all around SLCC. Joining a volunteer team is a great way to meet people and contribute to the mission of this church family.

What Do You Believe About Baptism and Communion?

We encourage all followers of Jesus to experience baptism. Periodically, we offer a baptism class for people interested in being baptized during one of our services. We baptize by immersion because that is Jesus’ model of baptism. Baptism is not salvation, but is a symbol of the new life that Jesus brings about in the lives of His believers. We believe communion is also a symbol. It symbolizes the body of Jesus that was sacrificed and the blood of Jesus that was spilled for us. We observe this ordinance throughout the year during our weekend services. You do not need to be a member of SLCC to participate in our Communion Service.
